Pavement Mural

A pavement mural at an intersection adjacent to an elementary school does double duty as public art and traffic calming. The school held a mural design contest, and I translated and refined the winning drawing so that it could fit the intersection and coordinated the ordering of paint and supplies. On the day of installation, I drew the design in chalk on the pavement and created a color guide so that volunteers could assist with the painting of the mural.
