RECLAIM

As a demonstration project, RECLAIM transformed vacant spaces along an unsafe, walking corridor traveled by elementary school children into a safe pathway where blight was transformed into beauty and economic opportunity. I co-led the project in Indianapolis with LaShawnda Crowe Storm and worked with youth, artists, and neighborhood residents (some of whom were returning from incarceration) to activate a series of vacant lots with gardens, public art, and community activities and events.
